Course Details

This course is based on the ConstructSafe Foundation assessment framework. It covers the basic health and safety information expected of all those working on commercial construction sites throughout New Zealand.

The course is $240+GST for a group of 4 people and then $60 per additional person. The ConstructSafe Foundation assessment follows immediately after this course.

 

Learning Outcomes

  • Be able to describe duties of Workers and the PCBU under the Health and Safety at Work Act (2015)
  • Be able to describe and identify general Health and Safety Hazards
  • Basic understanding of working at height
  • Knowledge of safe use and storage of chemicals
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures
  • Understanding of segregation between mobile plant and pedestrians
  • Basic understanding of working with utilities and services
  • Basic understanding of confined and restricted places
  • Knowledge of signage found on a construction site
  • Basic understanding of types of fire extinguishers.

 

Content and Delivery

Course content is facilitated by an experienced trainer and covers each of the above learning outcomes - aimed at a foundation level.
