DurationOur level 1 award in health and safety in construction is delivered in a classroom setting over one day. This CSCS training course is designed for people who wish to obtain a CSCS Green Labourer’s card. It provides a practical summary of health and safety in a construction environment. The course further outlines the responsibilities of the worker and the employer in maintaining health and safety.
The minimum age to attend the course is 16. The class timings are usually 9am to 4pm. Please note that in order to apply for the CSCS Green card, applicants must have achieved the level 1 award in the construction environment. You must also pass the CITB Operatives health and safety test.

This five-day Site management safety training scheme (SMSTS) course is designed for site managers, agents and persons who are, or are about to be, responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff within a construction environment.
This course is ideally suited to candidates aged 16 years of age and above wishing to apply for the CSCS Green Card enabling them to work on a UK construction site, and is also suitable for existing operatives and employees for staff development.
This course covers basic site safety and is often required before a person starts working on a site. On this 2 day course, delegates will learn all basic health and safety knowledge related to a site – so they are able to work safely on a site.
This one-day training equips site managers with knowledge and tools to promote safety on construction sites.
SMSTS Refresher Course is offered by LHT Health & Safety. We believe that good health and safety is about managing the risks, not responding to events.
