History
The San Antonio Botanical Garden was first imagined nearly eight decades ago by civic influencers Mrs. R. R. Witt and Mrs. Joseph Murphy. Forty years of planning and partnerships finally blossomed on May 3, 1980, with the official opening of the Botanical Garden.
Since that day, the formal gardens and collections of native Texas plants have evolved to make the Botanical Garden one of the most noteworthy botanical centers in the state, educating and inspiring guests from around the world.

Utilizing a combination of chef taught process and technique, everyone can bake the perfect loaf! Through a combination of hands-on learning and chef demonstration, in the breads, bagel & buns workshop you will be learning to prepare bagels, potato & carraway rolls and rose rolls.
Join Chef Doug and learn to make this unique ethnic dish! Students will learn to create the dough and filling for delicious bao buns (pork steamed buns). Student will learn techniques for assembling and cooking this delicious dish! Class is for adults 18 years and up. Students 21 and over can BYOB.
You will be taught everything you need to know about spices (masalas), which is the basis of Indian cooking that will come handy when we begin to cook. Spices bring out the flavor in each dish; therefore, I always like my students to learn and become spice experts.
