IELTS

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an internationally recognized standard English language proficiency test. The test was created in 1989 and is now the standard for academic and job applications. The test measures a person’s English language ability.

There are various levels of proficiency, from beginner to advanced. The IELTS test scores are based on a nine-band scale. Each band represents a level of English competence.

IELTS Academic:- 

• The IELTS Academic is an exam designed to measure your four skills of Writing, Reading, Listening, and speaking. It is beneficial for people applying for higher education and professional registration.

IELTS General :-

• IELTS General training is designed for those who want to migrate to Canada, Uk, Australia or apply for secondary education, work experience, and permanent residence in English-speaking surroundings. The General Training IELTS exam includes four skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

IELTS on Paper:-

• In this test, Candidates must sit at a desk with the Questions papers and Answer sheets for three modules Listing, Reading, and Writing: Tests in an Official IELTS test Centre. Test takers will write their answers in either pen or HB- pencils. The speaking test is carried out face to face with an IELTS Examiner.

IELTS on Computer:- 

• IELTS on a computer is faster and easier for the test taker. Candidates must sit in the Listening, Reading, and Writing Tests in front of a computer, and all the Questions Presented on the screen is an Official IELTS test center. But All the formats of IELTS are the same as IELTS on paper. In The Speaking TEst, you have to face the IELTS Examiner.

Academic IELTS format

Speaking:-

• The speaking test is usually 11 to 14 minutes long and is conducted during a face-to-face interview format. This test has three sections; within the 1st section, the examiner asks queries involving the candidate’s introduction. The candidate talks for two minutes on a general topic within the second section. In the third section, follow-up questions related to the subject in section 2 are asked.

Writing:-   

• This test requires you to complete two tasks in 1 hour. Task 1 describes tables, graphs, diagrams, and charts of at least 150 words, while Task 2 requires you to write a 250-word essay on a given topic. Task 2’s ( 6 bands ) contribution to the total writing score is twice that of Task 1 ( 3 bands )

Listening:-

• The listening test is 40 minutes long, in which 30 minutes for the test and a time of 10 minutes is given for transferring your answers to the answer sheet. The Test takers are tested to understand the conversions and lectures in several western accents, mainly British. In this section, Test takers have 40 questions to solve.

Reading:-   

• The Reading Test is a set of 40 questions divided into 3 parts. The test is 60 minutes long and is designed to measure candidates’ skills to follow an argument and recognize a writer’s opinion, attitude, or Purpose.
