During your course, you will take classes that will prepare you for your IELTS examination for academic purposes. You will be made familiar with tasks in reading, writing, speaking, and listening and will be taught strategies and given tips on how to be successful in these areas.
You will also be given support to improve your vocabulary and grammar. You will gain the knowledge and confidence to take on your IELTS test.
It is not necessary that you have done IELTS before, but your level of English must be a minimum pre-intermediate level.
If you have taken IELTS before then you should have achieved at least band 4.5 to enroll in the course. Toward the end of the course, you will do an internal IELTS test in the class to see what level you have achieved and see if you are ready to book an IELTS test.
When you have taken your IELTS test and received your score you can progress onto the foundation programmes at WE or move on to your chosen university.
