Our level 6 module in Infection Prevention Control in Clinical Practice will allow you to sharpen your skills and knowledge of basic microbiology, common microorganisms and their pathogenesis, to allow you to understand the legislation, procedures and principles of controlling standard infections in the future.
Content will be delivered over 10 weeks through 200 hours of face-to-face lectures, tutorials and independents study.
You will examine the evidence-based guidance that informs best practice.
Building on your existing knowledge you will recognise, interpret, apply and disseminate the principles of infection prevention and control, linking science and clinical practice together to understand the challenges around antimicrobial use and the behaviours in practice to empower you to improve patient/service user care within your workplace setting.

Designed to give employees the basic knowledge to identify the causes of infection and to learn about common infections within healthcare settings.
To provide an update on the latest development within infection prevention and control guidelines and consider current prevention measures in practice. To reinforce the importance of ‘The Code of Practice’ on the prevention and control of Infection in line with HTM01-05 & HTM01-07.
This 2-hour session can be bespoke to address specific workplace issues, such as Hepatitis B or be generalised to cover a number of common infectious agents.
Infection Control Awareness course is offered by Steve Willis Training Centres. Our bespoke courses are available for group bookings and planned to suit customer requirements.
The Infection Control course provides learners with an understanding of the importance of preventing the spread of infection in ensuring the safety and welfare of others, especially those at risk. This course aims to provide learners with the skills to break the chain of infection.
