Intro To Knitting

Sewing and Vacuum Warehouse is excited to announce the addition of a Laura Heine Collage Quilt class by Certified Laura Heine Instructor, Kathy Tucker. Students will create the newest Laura Heine pattern called Pineapple. Students will learn this incredible technique in this two-day class

If you have never knitted before, register for Knit 101-A.  After completion of Knit 101-A, you can register for Knit 101-B to complete your knowledge of the basics. If you already know some of the basics but want a refresher on stitches, you can register for Knit 101-B. 

Start with the basic machine knitting techniques and stitches including cast-on, cast-off, stripe, increasing, decreasing, ribbing, and cables. You will put together a binder of knit swatches. No need to own your own machine, PFI provides the machines and tools for this class.

Have an issue with your knitting or your Crochet? We can fix it! Anything from dropped stitches, figuring out how many rows you’ve already knitted, all the way to changing a pattern to make it fit you properly.  Come in and knit your frustrations away!

I teach using a projector and camera so that you can clearly see my demos. We will work on 5 beautiful and fun motifs that you can put on your own quilts using your home sewing machine. Get ready to finish that stack of tops!
