Measuring Performance
Assessment and Learning Outcomes
The IOSH Managing Safely course is delivered over 3 days and is assessed in 2 parts:
Multiple-choice examination
Practical risk assessment project in which delegates will demonstrate how to apply the knowledge they have gained throughout the course to real-life situations.
Upon successful completion course delegates will:
Understand the importance of health and safety in the workplace.
Be able to define the key terms relating to health and safety.
Understand how to assess, reduce, identify, and control risks in the workplace.
Oldham Training Centre is a long established independent training provider formed in 1966 and holding charitable status. Now celebrating over 50 years of training, the company operates from Oldham in a training centre fully owned by the company and offers a range of apprenticeships primarily in the engineering and business services sectors.
The company has a subsidiary arm – OTC Consultancy Limited – which provides a range of accredited and non-accredited short training courses such as Health and Safety, Fork-Lift Truck and First Aid to name a few.
OTC is a member-owned organisation with over 50 member companies. It has been estimated that over 700 local and regional employers have used OTCs services to meet various training and business needs.
