A&P Courses – Online or classroom based?
For many years it has been widely recognised in the educational field that the most effective learning takes place when the learner’s senses are activated on a multiple level – in other words, Seeing, Hearing AND Doing!!!
That’s why you’ll see us using ALL learning styles to ensure senses are stimulated and included. The remote classes are live which offers the learner the opportunity to question and clarify information there and then.
Students have achieved truly excellent results. Several of our students gained a distinction, which means that they obtained a mark of 90% or above.
How does our live online training differ from other course providers?
Many online courses are ‘self-directed’, which means that the learner logs on and studies alone and in their own time – the course is pre-recorded and “1 size fits all”, you just log and do it yourself.
This often means that learning is an isolating experience, with no opportunity to check or clarify anything, no interaction with fellow learners and with no tutor support to answer any questions at that time.
‘Live’ online courses, as opposed to pre-recorded learning sessions, allow each student to interact with the tutor, so that any questions can be answered, and clarification achieved – this promotes much more effective learning and ensures that students are clear on subject matter and topics.
Here at the School of Natural Therapies, we have been teaching massage and holistic therapies for over 30 years. In light of the Covid19 pandemic, there have of course been some enormous social and commercial changes, on a very significant scale.
Industry has changed dramatically, and many people find themselves working at home at their new workstations, often in less than favourable seated working postures – and for long periods of time.
As a result, lack of movement and bad posture are leading to common soft tissue and musco-skeletal issues, meaning that therapeutic interventions such as massage and remedial work is now in higher demand than ever.
According to research conducted at the University of North Carolina, physical touch decreased disease and a stronger immune system among many other benefits. With a tech-saturated world, human touch is in danger of becoming rare, if not obsolete. Humans become nearly unrecognisable in the absence of touch.
The Level 1 ISAK Anthropometry course is designed for sport and exercise scientists, nutritionists, sports rehabilitators and physiotherapists who carry out body composition measures on clients as part of their professional practice or research.
This course is essential for anyone looking to offer massage treatments. The human body is a complex machine which forms the structure of your entire body.
Anatomy and physiology qualification is an essential pre-requisite for acquiring insurance, and as a basis for therapists of massage, reflexology, beauty and other body treatments.
This underpins your therapy studies, giving you an insight into the physiology needed to make informed decisions about treating your clients safely and objectively and circumstances when you would avoid or adapt treatment.
This accredited and certificated course provides students with a carefully sequenced learning experience that combines structured reading with online learning and assessment activities in preparation for a final online examination.
