JavaScript, often abbreviated as JS, is a high-level, interpreted programming language. It is a language which is also characterized as dynamic, weakly typed, prototype-based and multi-paradigm. Alongside HTML and CSS, JavaScript is one of the three core technologies of the World Wide Web.

JavaScript is a popular client side programming language that runs on user’s web browsers. It was launched in 1995 and gained huge popularity such that almost 92% of today’s websites uses JavaScript for advanced user experience.

It provides dynamic functionality to browsers like auto completion, dropdown menus, repairing browser compatibility issues, loading new contents without reloading the page and so on.

Why JavaScript Is Needed?

• Since it is a client side programming script, it does not run on server side and hence reduces the time to load a web page at user end.
• It is easy to learn as its syntax is similar to English language
• JavaScript is very much compatible with other programming languages like Ruby, PHP, ASP.NET etc.

• It doesn’t need a compiler and hence reduced development time and load time of a web page.

Who Are Eligible To Join?

Your educational background doesn’t have any relevance here. It is a basic scripting language which can be learned very easily. Knowledge of Basic English the only requirement as the syntax of this script is similar to English.
