Materials for smaller projects are covered in the fee, but kids will need their own tools. Please ask about our affordable but good quality starter packs for kids.
These classes have a flexible start and finish! We know that afternoons can be crazy, so we would like to make it easier for you. Kids can start their class between 3:30 and 4, and finish between 5 and 5:30. There - a bit of breathing space!
Handzon is your happy place. Based in the beautiful and buzzing township of Rangiora in the Waimakariri district of New Zealand, we supply classes, materials and tools for knitting, crochet, sewing, quilting, hand embroidery and machine embroidery to crafters in Canterbury and beyond.
Sewing Club sessions are suitable for those students who have the skills to sew independently (equivalent to completing Level 4 skills).
Have you never sewed before? Are you an amateur sewer who needs some guidance? Make something new or upcycle and transform an existing item. Create a new outfit by turning a dress into a top or skirt. Be limited only by your imagination.
Learn to fit, sew and finish your clothes successfully or build on the sewing skills you already have (even if you are feeling out of practice). Create your own individual wardrobe using a pattern and fabric of your choice.
Sewing classes are offered by Quilters Quarters for beginners. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided for morning and afternoon teas when you attend class. However, you will need to bring your own lunch for full day classes.
Pick Your Own Project is an opportunity for you to work on a project that doesn’t fit into another class with help and support from an experienced teacher.
