Sharp Works opened in 2007 in the middle of Herne Hill, selling a wide variety of yarns and patterns for both knitting and crochet. We run a range of classes for all levels, and can offer technical support with yarns, patterns and knitting/crochet related queries.
This course is a fun introduction to hand knitting, with an emphasis on developing an experimental approach to your knitting.
On this practical course you’ll create a series of innovative knitting swatches that can be used as inspiration for a garment or interior design product; the focus will be on producing work with a contemporary perspective.
Spend a relaxing afternoon crafting, meeting like-minded folks and learning how to needle felt. During this fun needle felting class, you will learn how to make a beautiful pincushion by upcycling old teacups and egg cups.

In this course we shall start at the very beginning with basic chains and wind our way through doubles, trebles with some increasing, decreasing and fancy bits along the way. The course is spread across 5 sessions which will allow us to build our knowledge gradually with lots of time.
