Laser subtractive technology has also become trendy among contemporary artists experimenting with 2D and 3D objects made from paper, cardboard, wood, and other sustainable materials. For example, laser cutting causes the growing attractiveness of paper art, allowing you to create very complex, refined, and high-quality crafts.

No matter what your role or profession background is, this entry level course is an open inventive field where digital design is combined with laser cutting technology to challenge your creativity, design and modelling skills, give your inspiration a new space to fly.

You will learn: the basics of operation and service CNC laser cutter; essentials of design for laser cutting; paper, cardboard, plywood modelling techniques; best practices of paper cutting art; how to work with public laser cutting libraries.

After this course you will be familiar with the laser cutter Emblaser 2 and the design software Lightburn, you will be able to create laser cutting art projects and crafts, such as paper greeting and invitations cards, print frames, dioramas, cardboard 3d sculptures and layered portraits, veneer bookmarks and engraving pictures, plywood bijouterie, jewellery box, napkin holder, coaster, and many more.
