Since 1993, the program has supported the growth of skilled, motivated supervisors and managers in a center’s safety and quality culture.
Our goal is to bring new ideas, insights, and education on the latest trends and developments in areas relevant to effective supervision and management. The courses provide effective tools that apply to everyday workplace situations.
The Fund offers a two day supervisory training which focuses on the fundamentals of effective supervision and leadership. Through this training, Center leaders will develop both classic leadership skills (motivating people, managing diversity, communication, etc.) as well as management skills (hiring qualified staff, coaching and developing employees, and holding employees accountable when necessary).
The Texas Council Risk Management Fund (the Fund) is a self-insurance pool formed by Texas community centers to provide expert resources and access to a customized insurance program for its members.
The Fund provides workers’ compensation, liability, and property coverage programs for its member centers. Through the Fund, members pool their risks and combine resources.
To obtain greater stability and economies of scale for risk management. In addition to self-insurance coverage, members receive risk management, legal, and loss prevention services tailored to meet their needs.

Leadership Skills is the original YLX program for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. Up to 48 class members meet monthly, September through May, and learn about personal leadership skills and community service. Students are selected from schools across the Oklahoma City Metro.
This course will explore Theory and Ideology related to leadership in education, including exploring Leadership styles and identifying their strengths. Â Additional focus will be placed on how educators can exhibit leadership in their current role. Â
