Stitch-O-Mat also offers a Learn-to-Sew class and Sustainability Workshops. Everyone is invited to come along and experience Stitch-O-Mat for a koha (donation), bring your own project or pick one of ours (like veggie market bags, reusable sandwich bag, book bag, swim bag and more).
In this course students will be guided in the process of creating a character profile. Students will engage with ideation and analysis in developing their creative work. Students will work in a creative studio environment and be introduced to model-making, industrial sewing and 3D printing.
This course is offered by JJ's Crafts, Located in the heart of Taradale, JJ's Crafts store is filled with colourful fabrics, threads, embroidery and yarn products to help make your craft dreams become reality.
When you grab todays deal youll be able to create your dream fashion piece under the tuition of an experienced team member at Elizapesi Fashion. Youll be in a small class, so you wont get left behind, no matter what your skill level!
One-off 3 hour workshop will show you how to make your own bucket hat from fabric offcuts and repurposed clothing (ideal for old jeans!).
This class is on Thursday evenings and includes how to pad a form/dressmakers dummy to your desired size and then how to make a basic pattern from draping fabric on the form to make a simple bodice or skirt.
