You will make an upmarket tote bag (or alternative course offers child's shorts) where you will learn the basics of seaming, pin stitching, top stitching, proper pressing, reinforcement stitching, an easy corner technique and use of a twin needle. Samples will also be stitched for basic seam finishes.
The good news for me is that I have semi-retired and moved to Adelaide, South Australia to be closer to my family. I am still doing commissioned garments (no bridal), but only the occasional piece, I am happy to continue to do alterations to all garments.
All consultations are by appointment only. I am still available for private and group tuition and am prepared to travel - please see the Dressmaking and Teaching pages for more information.
