The Level 2 Award in Principles of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) is aimed at those learners who work in an environment where coming into contact with hazardous substances is likely. This includes workplaces in areas such as manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities and office environments.

This qualification is for anyone responsible for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) at work, as well as employees who use hazardous substances as part of their job role.

Working with substances is common in many workplaces. These workplaces include anything from cleaning to construction.  As a part of good health and safety management, the employer is responsible for undertaking a risk assessment and implementing appropriate controls. These controls may include providing appropriate training. A regulated qualification is an ideal way of demonstrating a commitment to effective training.

This course is ideal for any individual who works in an industry that makes use of hazardous substances including:

  • Cleaning
  • Utilities

 

This qualification is available to those over 14 years. Candidates should be at least a level 1 numeracy and literacy or equivalent.
