The course aim is to provide you with the knowledge and skills to carry out a variety of looks including day, evening and special occasion make-up to a professional standard. You will also cover the application of strip and individual lashes, eyebrow shaping and lash and brow tinting.
DurationThis qualification will be delivered over one evening per week and each session will be 3 hours long over 26 weeks.

Theory will be delivered alongside practical training and will cover the anatomy and physiology of the skin, hair, blood and lymph supply as well as bones and muscles.

It involves a step by step demonstration on one half of the face, giving you the opportunity to complete the look on the other half, using a mirror. This ensures that, through a hands on approach, you will learn and remember effectively.
Makeup Lesson is offered by James Mcknight Make-up Artist. I have been a makeup educator almost as long as I have been a makeup artist! I love empowering others to feel more confident in their makeup application and choices.
You will learn how to professionally apply a full face of make up. You will learn Smokey eye techniques, contouring and blending, day looks, bridal looks aswell as evening glam looks.
Veil/Scarf techniques and jewellery setting will be shown and practiced in order to complete your bride. By day 5 you will be given the opportunity to create 2 complete looks on 2 models and experience a professional photoshoot where by you will receive 2 FREE edited images.
This course is suitable for beginners who want to improve their personal presentation skills or for those who want to explore a professional career as Make Up Artist.
