This regulated qualification is in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and 1982 (N.I.) and provides learners with the skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in low and high risk work environments. Certification is valid for 3 years.

Candidates successfully completing this course will be entitled to act as a first-aider in the workplace. This First aid at Work course includes the 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course and also equips the first-aider to apply first aid to an extensive range of specific injuries and illnesses.
The First Aid at Work course gives First Aiders the essential knowledge and skills that they need to carry out their role and deal confidently with major and minor injuries and illnesses. It is suitable for any person who has been designated as a First Aider at work.
Adults in Section Leader roles or Manager and Supporter roles are required to hold a First Response (Scouting) certificate or a First Aid certificate (where the training is delivered by a reputable body and which covers the syllabus required by The Scout Association).
