Lockout/Tag out Training

Lockout/Tag-out training is designed for workers who:

• Perform service or maintenance on machinery and equipment
• May be exposed to injuries from unexpected energy surges from machinery
• Startup machinery or equipment,
• May be exposed to the release of stored energy in the equipment

The Lockout/Tag program will teach employees how to adopt and implement practices and procedures on the following:

• Shutting down equipment, isolate it from its energy source(s),
• Preventing the release of potentially hazardous energy while maintenance and servicing activities are being performed.
• Establishing an effective program for the control of hazardous energy.
