A leader in art education, the Sunny Art Centre has established itself as one of the most favoured destinations to study art in London. The efforts of our tutors ensure that the Centre can continuously deliver new cutting-edge methods and techniques to facilitate our students’ engagement with art, thus cementing the Centre’s first-class reputation in London.
Developed in the 1940s, acrylic paint has been prized by artists from the abstract expressionists onwards for its immediacy and versatility.
Our acrylic courses will introduce students to the varied techniques of acrylic painting, which span those of oil and watercolour, and allow inquisitive students great freedom of expression, whether their interests lie within the realm of the figurative or the abstract.
Our expert art tutors have received extensive training in fine art practices in world-leading academies and universities (such as the Royal Academy of Art and Central Saint Martins in London, the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and Athens Academy of Art in Greece).
They recommend acrylic paint to beginners who want a quick and easier medium to being their painting classes with. Our art teachers will instruct you on the use of acrylic paint by providing individual and targeted tuition. You will be guided throughout all the techniques by having each art lesson tailored to your needs. This means that you will be provided with specific subjects and instructions that are suitable for your level and that are in line with your preferences.
Our central London location in the City means that it is easy to get here both during weekdays and weekends. Our online booking system will also allow you to choose which painting classes you wish to reserve making your commitment easier to handle.
The Sunny Art Centre is an art institution sponsored by the Art Council England located on the historically rich Gray’s Inn Road, in the heart of London. The history of this location is particularly important to the identity and standards that the gallery unwaveringly aspires to.
The Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn dates back to 1370 and was once home to Sir Francis Bacon, in addition to being the home of Shakespeare’s plays. The Centre has an important history of being at the forefront of contemporary art exhibitions, educational programs, and international art competitions.
With Ardour Academy’s principle beliefs at its core, this new drawing class aims to bring together wellbeing, exploration, movement and observation as its primary motivators.
Develop your personal vision and improve your drawing and painting techniques by working on individual projects. During class you will be guided through each step of the studio process from brainstorming in sketchbooks and creating a composition through to a finished artwork.
Our Drawing Clubs are open to students in school years 5 to 9 who have a passion for drawing and would like to attend a weekly Saturday class.
This class is for anyone aged 16 or over, whether you’re a regular at life drawing classes or you can barely hold a pencil, everyone is welcome. This is an untaught session to come and practise.
“The sessions are always full of unexpected connections, parallels and interesting discoveries. It is challenging, fulfilling, exciting and all absorbing. It is my favourite time of the week.
