Dance your stress away and pump your heart with adrenaline in this hour-long dance class. You are free to bring your own style and flow as you dance, no experience is needed.
This style is focused on conveying meaning and emotion through the intepretation of music. Lyrical dance is offered to our VPA Company Performers in their weekly workshops.
Lyrical - dance challenges choreographers and dancers to use motion to interpret music and express emotion.
A slower, soft, more expressive form of dance incorporating technical elements from both jazz and ballet.
Lyrical dance is expressive. Ranging in movements that can be lyrical and soft, to abstract and angular, lyrical dance can also be described as slow and expressive jazz movements with an emphasis on technique adagio/floor/centre.
