M.Arch (Interior Design)

M.Arch (Interior Design) is offered by Dr. M.G.R. Engineering College. Sensitivity to human response in a space, critical research in the design approach and redefining conventional notions stays the focus of the post-graduation program in interior architecture at the faculty of architecture. 

Program Outcomes

M.Arch - Construction Project Management

• The programme takes a two-pronged approach, to provide sound knowledge of the construction industry in the core subjects of construction systems, materials, environment, services, building law, contract administration and communications.
• The second focus is on specialist courses in planning and organisation, site management and estimation.
• It is specially designed for graduates in Architecture and specifically tailored to the industry requirement. Focuses on four areas of management competency: time, money, technology and people. Mastering these issues is key to the leadership function in modern construction.

M.Arch - Landscape Architecture

• The course aims at imparting proficiency in landscape assessment and design techniques.
• To impart knowledge by employing ecological principles while simultaneously balancing them with socioeconomic and cultural considerations.

Program Outcomes

• PEO 01    To Acquire immense knowledge in the field of Landscape Architecture and Planning and recognise the need for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• PEO 02    To Formulate and Communicate ideas and concepts through sketching, detailing, assessing, evaluating, writing and speaking.
• PEO 03    Critical analysis of the interrelationship between man and the environment and offering solutions at all levels.
• PEO 04    To Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Landscapes at the Macro and Micro levels and its management.
• PEO 05    Interrogate and investigate the underlying concepts of the various Physical and Sociological aspects of Landscape Architecture.
