Course Overview:

This unit of competency describes the outcomes required to maintain engine or electrically operated hand-held chainsaws. It includes sharpening chains and completing routine and frequently required service requirements as well as periodic servicing.

Work is completed in a variety of work settings including a forest environment, agricultural, workshop, arboretum and horticultural settings.

The unit applies to chainsaw operators. No licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Trim and cut feled treesl

This unit describes the outcomes required to trim and cut felled trees with a chainsaw and to complete operator maintenance. It applies to situations where the production of timber is not the primary focus of the activity.

The unit applies to a forestry worker, chainsaw operator, forest harvester, harvesting technician and arboriculture worker.

Licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements apply to this unit in some states & territories at the time of publication, and may differ according to jurisdiction.

Fees

The standard course cost $400. Full Payment for your course must be made at least the day prior to the course commencement. When paying EFT the payment must be received at least the day prior to the course commencement. Your place will be confirmed in the course once payment is made in full and course pre-requisites are meet.

Day training course with All Global Training between Monday and Friday include lunch it is provided at no extra cost to students, meals are delivered directly to your training room 12 pm daily, after hours courses and weekends do not include lunch.

Course Duration/Delivery Mode

This unit of competency is delivered over 1 day and consists of theory and practical demonstration including practice time. Delivery is at All Global Training’s training facilities or at your workplace by arrangement.

All Global training can deliver Onsite and regional training within Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia for company and group bookings. Training will be dependent on ability to utilise client facilities and having the required training aids available.
