The Manawatu Voices Choir is established for singers Year 5 - Year 10 seeing vocal technique and musicianship extension. It will focus on representative singing and choral performance.
Students must be prepared to train and master music reading and performance. The ability to read music will be helpful but not absolutely necessary. Auditions will be held for first time learners.
Saturday Music Charitable Trust (Inc) is a registered charity (CC29243) and is supported by the Primary School Out-of-Hours Music Scheme of the Ministry of Education. It is administered by a Trust Board and is hosted by Palmerston North Intermediate Normal School, operating under the regulations of the Ministry of Education.

Designed to be a fun, enjoyable experience tailored as much as possible to your level this programme is perfect for all those late teens to adults (any age) wanting to get out of their rooms and play music with others.
These classes provide an affordable option for learning an instrument in a group setting. Classes will run depending on interest and require a minimum of 3 students so bring a friend and join the fun!
The school provides Ministry of Education subsidised group music lessons for primary and intermediate age school students
Youth Orchestra is made up of players from all over Northland.  With the conductor’s guidance, they explore and express messages the composers have hidden in their music, and share it with their audience.
A choir class will be available if numbers allow. This is open to all students aged between 7 and 12/13 (end of school year 8). The Choir will take place on Saturday afternoons between 12.15 pm - 1.00 pm
