He was trained by David Palmer "The Amma Institute" in San Francisco. Michel took 1300 hours of lessons before starting to teach this approach in Quebec and now in France.
He continued to improve his skills in Amma, occasionally visiting California and Japan. In order to ensure the transmission of his knowledge, he in turn trained three instructors in Amma, including Sophie-Hélène Martineau who teaches alongside him.
