The MEWP is shut down, made safe, and secured, in accordance with organisational requirements.

The Site Safe Health & Safety Representative course will help learners understand their role as a link between the leaders and workers and how to perform their representative functions effectively to benefit the whole organisation.
People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of: - types of EWPs, their suitability for purpose; and safety features; and - industry requirements in relation to legislation and the BPG, and the use of EWPs.
At the successful completion of this course a trainee will be able to: describe hazards that may harm workers, the work environment, and organizations; explain health and safety requirements for hazard control; describe hazard control methods.
