Modern dance originated in opposition to ballet, so you’ll find modern dancers often move off center, on the floor, or around the room in unique patterns.
Our staff teach a blend of various modern styles based on their personal background, drawing from the Canadian Dance Teacher’s Association syllabus, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) syllabus, Limon, Graham, Horton, Cunningham, Freestyle, Contemporary and Lyrical.
Classes will progress at a rate that allow you to grow in strength and refine your technique, with movement and combinations becoming more complex over the session.
