Dance Central’s Music Theatre program is conducted in two parts, one vocal section and one dance section. Music Theatre classes are appropriate for students over the age of 8 years.
If you’ve always enjoyed watching the musicals at the Empire Theatre and want to learn what its all about then these classes are for you!
Dance Central is conveniently located at 3 Taylor Street, Toowoomba close to the CBD. The immediate area has plenty of on-street parking.
It is a priority for us at Dance Central to provide safe and pleasant working spaces for our students, as such we have 3 studios all fitted with sprung vinyl dance floor, mirrors, and barres.
A student-only dressing area is provided for all students, with showers and toilet facilities available.
Our parent waiting area has tea and coffee-making facilities and comfortable couches for those parents who wish to wait for their child.
Alternatively, the studio is just around the corner from 3 fantastic coffee shops located in Railway Street, and Betros Brothers and Grand Central are also within walking distance of our premises.
The CUA50213 Diploma of Musical Theatre course is an intensive one-year training program for students who have the potential to achieve excellent standards in the three core disciplines of singing, acting and dancing.
Over 5 weeks, we will explore the exciting and diverse world of musical theatre dance while performing to some of your favourite musical numbers.
This class is for students wishing to add singing and Theatre skills to their dance studies.
A great way for kids to learn what musical theatre is all about. Curriculum includes singing, movement/dance and script work from great shows such as High School Musical, Annie, Wicked etc.
We offer a bi-annual musical theatre production opportunity to students enrolled in at least one dance class and that are a minimum of 8 years of age. An audition is held early in term 1 to select parts for the annual production. Our next production will be in 2021.
