MySQL

MySQL is an open-source relational database management system. It was developed by Sun Microsystems and later acquired by Oracle in 2010. MySQL can be used for both big and small applications. It creates a database for storing and manipulating data.

This database is written in C and C++ languages. Websites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google and Yahoo! uses MySQL for data storage.
