DurationThe National Lifeguard Pool certification is designed to develop the fundamental values, judgment, knowledge, skills and fitness required by lifeguards.

This course will also include the Airway Management & Oxygen Administration certification.

??National Lifeguard certification is the industry standard for professional lifeguards in Canada. National Lifeguards are water rescue professionals trained in emergency care.
Lifeguard course is offered by Lifesaving Society. The Lifesaving Society is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote safe interactions with water to prevent drowning and other injuries.
Swift Water Rescue Technician is an Emergency Services Training course. Trainees develop an advanced understanding of swift water hazards and rescue techniques from the “hot zone” (on moving water). This course is aimed at those who may be called on to perform a water-based rescue.
The National Lifeguard Service® award builds on the skills, knowledge and values that the Lifesaving Society teaches in its Pre-Bronze and Bronze Medal awards to develop the practical skills and knowledge required by lifeguards.
The National Lifeguard course is the last course in the Lifeguard stream required at pools across Canada. This course will ensure that candidates leave with a solid understanding of lifeguard principles, communication techniques and develop solid judgement skills for emergency procedures.
