DurationThe certificate helps construction managers, supervisors and other members of staff to manage risks effectively by giving them a broad understanding of health and safety issues. In fact, many people use this qualification as a stepping stone to a career in health and safety.

It is also accepted by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) for Associate membership (AIIRSM). The Certificate can also be a useful step towards achieving the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
Pre-requisites
There are no pre-requisites to attend this course. However It is advantageous that candidates wishing to obtain the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety to have a general understanding of Managing Safely in Construction prior to attending the course. So attendance of the IOSH Managing Safely course would be of benefit but it is not essential.
