Course Objectives:
iskills started with an epiphany. While attending a responsiveness programme for the Electricity Supply Industry in 1999, Sharon Macquarie discovered the importance of workplace competency and realised how much value she could add to the industry.
This course is designed to provide trainees with knowledge and skills to safely erect and dismantle a non-notifiable modular, tube and coupler, frame and timber scaffolding.
The aim of this course is to enable a trainee to identify hazards and controls within confined spaces; develop an emergency procedure plan; and complete the necessary documentation required for a confined space entry.
This course teaches how to work safely to erect non-notifiable and prefabricated frame scaffolding up to five metres in height and does not require a Certificate of Competence or notification to WorkSafe NZ. It is ideal for residential construction scaffold requirements.
This course is aimed at ensuring people working in hot works can understand and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attributes for all essential areas covered under the full “best practice” guidelines in the workplace.
Identify and apply clear communication methods; identify principles of workplace safety and apply safe work practices.
