The course is specific to a career in hairdressing. Learners must be at least 16-years-old to enrol and have a minimum of two years of secondary education. You must also be fit and able to work in a busy environment and have an interest in fashion.
Established in 1994, Harrington Vaughan Academy of Hairdressing is a purpose-built facility at 24 Filleul St, Dunedin offering a modern salon environment and innovative teaching space.
The Academy is staffed by experienced and qualified educators who hold a range of industry, business, and relevant educator qualifications and are registered with the Hair & Beauty Industry Training Organisation.
?In this level 4 hairdressing course, there is a focus on cutting with scissors and clippers, advanced coloring, foiling, and color correction. Learners will also gain a crucial understanding of razor techniques, chemical straightening, bleach and tone.
