Straight Curve understands that the film and television industry can be a fierce and competitive market to break into and we are here to help, encourage and inspire, unlike other filmschools.
We teach and nurture talented students that come our way and we have been involved in helping students in many short films that they have gone on to make following a Straight Curve workshop.
We provide training courses and facilities for film makers & animators. We work with adults & young people at our studio and in schools, colleges and art centres.
Film Developing course learn how to develop film and make contact sheets and make darkroom prints, then this course is for you. Learn how to manipulate film in the darkroom and make Hand made contact sheets and prints.
Participants on Make a Film in a Day courses are given an overview of the whole filmmaking process from EUREKA!, through to ACTION! to IT’S A WRAP! Working in teams, these young filmmakers work against the clock to plan, storyboard, shoot, act and edit their film.
Our dedicated film tutor has experience teaching many students. We offer a free taster lesson to all new students and the the opportunity to come in to practice with our facilities during the week for all students.
In four weeks, you will take a film project from script to screen, gaining a comprehensive and invaluable grounding in the essential filmmaking principles.
