The course further explores the key areas of first aid that address the period between sudden collapse/ accident and the arrival of the emergency services.

About this course

The Paediatric Basic Life Support course addresses the infant / child casualty who may need their breathing checked and airway opened. Learners are taught how to deliver CPR and the importance of choking due to a high number of instances involving these age groups. Expect to learn the following topics:

  • Primary survey / DRABCD

  • Recovery position 

  • CPR 

  • AED

  • Choking
