Children are some of the most vulnerable members of society in a first aid situation which is why knowing how to respond when an emergency occurs is so important. Our paediatric first aid courses will prepare you to respond in an emergency as well as help you to meet OFSTED & EYFS standards.

Our first aid courses cover the following topics:

  • Planning for First Aid Emergencies

  • Dealing with emergencies

  • Resuscitation Procedures Appropriate to the Age of the Children being cared for

  • Recognising and Responding Appropriately to:

    • Shock

    • Anaphylactic Shock

    • Electric

    • Shock

    • Bleeding

    • Burns and Scalds

    • Choking

    • Suspected Fractures

    • Head, Neck and Back Injuries

    • Cases of Poisoning

    • Foreign Bodies In Eyes and Noses

    • Bites and Stings

    • Febrile Convulsions

    • Effects of Extreme Heat and Cold

    • Emergency Needs of Children with Chronic Medical Conditions including Epilepsy, Asthma, Sickle Cell, Anaemia and Diabetes

  • Meningitis and other Serious Sudden Illnesses

100% classroom courses

We also offer one and two-day courses that are completely classroom based. These classes are taught by an accredited Instructor and meet the same OFSTED, EYFS, CSSIW and SureStart requirements as the blended two day course.
