Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (12 Hour) is taught over one classroom day (6 hours), with the additional time completed through an e-learning module (6 hours).

The course meets the requirements of Ofsted & the EYFS. It is suitable for childcare workers who may need to come to the assistance of a sick or injured child in both emergency and non-emergency situations.

About this course

This is the highest paediatric first aid qualification that can be taken within the workplace. On the classroom day learners can expect to be taught a core set of lifesaving skills that could be used to save the life of an infant / child in an emergency. 

The classroom day is assessed through practical observation and multiple choice questions at the end of the day. 

The e-learning module comprises seven interactive modules which can be completed on a smartphone, tablet or computer. The module is assessed through questions, puzzles and other interactive content.

Why this course?

Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (12 Hour) is suitable for childminders, nursery schools, after school clubs and schools. It should be considered by anyone who works closely with children in the absence of parents / carers support. 

Upon its conclusion learners are awarded a national recognised qualification which is valid for a three year period. 

This course can empower learners with the knowledge of emergency paediatric first aid and also how to recognise and manage childhood illnesses.
