This course involves the skills and knowledge required to perform a rescue from a live low voltage (LV)electrical apparatus in an electricity supply industry (ESI) environment. This does not include overhead lines and underground cables.
It includes the organisational workplace requirements for the inspection and use of live low voltage panel rescue equipment, and how it applies to ESI workers to meet work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS), mobility and mutual aid requirements.
The learners most likely to undertake UETDRMP007 Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel are either existing workers in the industry or new entrants who may be required to rescue someone from a live LV panel emergency.
The existing workers in the industry have previous knowledge and skills, those who may not are given extra support and time as required. The course is flexible in nature to allow for all types of learners with differing knowledge and skill levels.
