Course Details

Students ages 4-6 years old receive the opportunity to learn the piano in a group environment. Children as young as four can begin to learn piano technique, while still participating in a fun, socially-stimulating setting. This is the perfect class to get your child interested in beginning his or her musical education on the piano.

  • Elsie Hoover is an Edmonton area-based accompanist and collaborative pianist. In the summer of 2015, she was awarded the Johann Strauss Foundation Scholarship and studied at the Mozarteum Academy in Salzburg, Austria. In addition to studying internationally under Dr. Leonel Morales and Dr. Daejin Kim, she has also competed in a variety of national competitions, including the Canadian Music Competition and The Northern Alberta Concerto Competition. Elsie finished her Bachelor of Music from the King’s University under the study of Dr. Joachim Segger and Dr. Marnie Giesbrecht. Elsie has also accompanied nationally by performing with clarinetist Adriana Jankovic in the National Music Festival in New Brunswick. In addition to being an accompanist, Elsie is also an active adjudicator in many music festivals throughout the province, most recently at the Fort McMurray Music Festival in 2019.
