At the Piano School La Grande Portée , musicality is at the heart of teaching. Beyond reading the notes, the student is led to seek little by little the expressive character of what is written in the score (interpretation) and learn to use the technical gestures necessary to translate the desired musical expression. We start our piano lessons for children from ages 5 and onwards. If your child is younger than 5, we highly recommend our preschool music lessons (ages 4 and 5) which introduce children to melodies, rhythm, pitch, and much more.
