Prior to opening Bloc, Tucker and Jen had considered a small in-house baking program in the basement of Diesel or a commissary to have creative control over all the items they served. Opening Bloc took over and another 7 years quickly passed before they opened Forge Baking Company in October of 2014.
That same year, they took on an additional 5000 square feet to move all of the kitchens into one location and build out a training lab and a dedicated workshop.
Learn to make pizza and ricotta cheese from scratch in this fun and delicious class. We will go through the steps to making the perfect pizza dough and then use our creation in several different ways. We will also see how easy it is to make ricotta cheese and enjoy the perks of our labor.
Our 18th Street Kitchen plays nightly host to hands-on cooking classes, cheesemaking and fermentation workshops, dinners with farmers and brewers, wine seminars... anything to help our community become more excited about cooking and eating great food.
