Upon completion of this program, you will have the skills necessary to pursue a career in the plumbing trade.

Upon successful completion of the program, a graduate will:
Work according to contractual obligations; the project manual; and applicable laws, standards, by-laws, and codes.
Perform residential plumbing projects effectively and accurately by interpreting and producing basic data in graphic, oral and written formats.
Work responsibly and effectively with others and in accordance with appropriate practices, procedures and in compliance with health and safety legislation.
Use tools and equipment for basic installation manufacture, and repair of components to required specifications.
Contribute to the organizing and planning of residential plumbing installations projects.
Solve routine problems related to work environments using a variety of systematic approaches.

This course is intended for practicing engineers, technicians and technologists and those concerned with the Municipal and Urban Drainage systems and Management of construction site erosion
In 25 weeks, the UFV’s Plumbing and Piping program help you develop the intermediate and specialized skills required  to enter the industry and prepare you to become an apprentice in plumbing, gasfitting, sprinkler fitting or steam/pipefitting.Â
At the end of the plumbing course, you will be able to install and maintain water supply systems under supervision. These systems include cold water piping, hot water piping, fixtures, and water supply system repair.
Once you pass this course, you will be recertified as a cross connection control tester.
You will gain an understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of the trade, associated tools and materials, that will help you on your journey to becoming a licensed plumber or pursuing many other construction-related careers.
