At Maple Academy of Dance, we help students of all ages and levels grow as both dancers and confident, positive people. Our Superstar dance classes in Winnipeg follow a custom syllabus, designed by the Maples Academy Directors to help dancers be amazing inside and out. We look forward to dancing with you!
Students will improve their listening skills, musicality, focus, and memory, while gaining a greater appreciation of how their bodies move in the space around them.
A classical dance form characterized by grace and precision of movement and by elaborate formal gestures, steps, and poses
Focuses on fundamental techniques which develop strength, poise and flexibility. Use of core muscles and discipline skills are developed. Ballet is the basis of all dance forms. Style of ballet studied is RAD Ballet where graded and non-graded levels are available.
Pointe class is an extension of our classical ballet program. Ballet dancers will support all of their body weight on the tips of fully extended feet within pointe shoes. Pointe classes are available for students who have completed Cecchetti II, enrolled in ballet and are at least 13 yrs old.
Class consists of barre and center work to strengthen and prepare for possible routine construction. This class will be offered at the teacher’s discretion. A full season ballet class & a ballet technique class is also required.
