You will need to play and improvise, which is in contrast to the classical approach whereby emphasis is placed on music theory. You will discover the concepts of rhythm and time, thus applying different styles to different songs.
Ultimately, you will be able to translate the music you hear into chords and rhythm yourself. Lastly, the instructors will impart their skills on band playing and stage performance as well.
