All staff and students will be required to wear a mask at all times. Please bring your own aprons that you can take back home with you at the end of your session.
Try the potter’s wheel and make bowls, plates, vases… with the help of our expert potters. Each attendee will have their own pottery wheel. Teaching time last 1.5 hour. Then you will be asked to clean your wheel and check out.
Firing your pots will cost £5 per pot (allowing the teacher to trim the bottom and sides to give it a professional finish) plus £20 per person for a 2 hours painting/glazing session that can take place about 5 weeks later where you can experiment with a wide range of glazes. Alternatively you may have your pots professionally trimmed and glazed by us white for £10 per pot ready to pick up about 5 weeks later.
Wonderland Ceramics is a creative space open to the public to paint ready made ceramics. If you prefer you can model your own shapes from wet clay or try a throwing session on the potter’s wheel.
You may also host your most memorable private parties for adults and children alike and enjoy exclusive use of our highly stylish Alice in Wonderland themed party space..
Our ongoing pottery classes in London for this five session course continues your previous introduction to throwing clay. It equips you with a sturdy foundation from which to develop as a potter. You are advised to stick with the same tutor throughout.
Pottery classes are for all abilities. In every class, you are taught by trained pottery teachers to work through the process of making your own pieces.
If you are new to pottery then over the first weeks of the workshop you will be shown the basics for working with clay from making thumb-pots and coil building to tile making and throwing on the wheel; this will also include simple decorating and glazing techniques.
This course is suitable for you if you are new to making pottery. You will complete a series of short projects in which you will learn to plan, make and decorate several types of hand built decorative and useful pots. We cover the techniques of pinching, coiling, slab-work and construction.
This is a five weeks pottery class suitable for anyone fairly new to pottery and wishes to develop their skills in clay.
