Our spacious and well-equipped school is based in Denmead, a small village near Waterlooville in Hampshire, just 5 minutes from Junction 3 of the A3M. We have ample free parking and we are about one hour from Heathrow and Gatwick airports. To view our location, please view our contact page.
We have a maximum of 6 students (no more than 4 on some courses) to ensure you get individual attention. Our aim at The Southern School of Beauty Therapy is to ensure that you really enjoy your learning experience with us, and when you leave at the end of the day, you should feel confident to start practising your new skills.
Occasionally we are unable to issue a certificate. If this does happen then you are welcome back on the next course with no extra charge to watch the demo and have another go at the practical.

We offer a full back-up service, so that if you should have any problems at any time after completing your course, you may always contact us for help and advice.

Our course programmes are very flexible, allowing learners who are new to the subject of aromatherapy to study with the following options. Complete beginners who are new to the industry may study massage and aromatherapy with us together.
The Diploma in Clinical Aromatherapy Course consists of four in-house modules of 5 days each. You will complete each module and the required assessments successfully before proceeding to the next module under the guidance of a personal tutor, enabling you to produce a high standard of work.
The course focusses on the selection and blending of aromatherapy oils to treat a range of ailments. This course is focussed on massage, although there will be other methods of aromatherapy applications covered including inhalation and compress
Learn how to provide a professional massage using aromatherapy oils. Our tutors will show you how to maximise the benefit of pre-blended oils and their uses, and where to source them. Students are welcome to practice on either other or a model (you will need to find your own models).
