Classes assist in motor development, building social and emotional confidence, as well as learning age appropriate ballet and jazz dancing skills. Class sizes are kept small so that our teachers can divide their attention between all students evenly.
Parents don’t usually stay in the class for the whole time as we find the little ones engage more with minimal distractions from parents and siblings.
We do invite parents in at the end of these classes to observe something they have learnt in their lesson or to participate in a free movement routine. The program is developed for ages 2 - 5 years.
DanceWorks Geelong is an all inclusive dance studio who offers dance classes for all abilities, from Toddlers to Adults.
Formally owned by Jana Kolacz, DanceWorks Geelong is now owned and operated by Dimi Sunderland. Dimi has a wealth of experience in dance training and education and strives to provide quality dance education to each student who steps foot in the studio. Dimi has a keen interest developing her student’s technical ability as well as ensuring they are learning in a fun and inclusive environment.

All classes are taught by well trained, passionate and qualified dance educators, who have a strong interest in instilling their love of dance in their students. Classes can be taken for fun and fitness or for the more serious dancer with interest in making their dance passion into a career.
A beautiful introduction to dance. Students will begin their dancing journey by learning some basic ballet steps, singing songs, fun activities to build their fine motor skills as well as plenty of time for free dance and play.Â
An introduction to movement for children turning 3 in the year they attend. The main focus is on enjoyment and creativity through movement, music and mime.
Our Petite Feet classes are magical, full of imagination and pretend play in a lively environment.
Our Toddler classes are for children who are ready to take instruction from their teacher and allow their family to leave the studio during the class.
This class is a wonderful introduction to a dance class environment with a family member by their side for security, In a wonderful environment of fun and exploration the children learn to listen, follow instructions and gain confidence.Â
