Course Details

This unit of competency contains the skills and knowledge required to prepare to work safely in the construction industry.

Upon successful completion you will be issued with a general construction induction card issued on behalf of Workplace Health & Safety Queensland licensing which is recognised and accepted in all states and territories of Australia.

 

Upon Successful Completion Of This Course:

After successful completion of this course you will have the knowledge and skills to apply for positions in the Queensland construction industry including activities such as:

  • Excavation
  • Labourers who perform various construction work
  • Electrical, plumbing, road and earth construction activities
  • Repair, renovations and refurbishment of houses, buildings and structures
  • Painting, cleaning and landscape works
  • Installation of carpets, curtains, cabinets, appliances and sprinklers
  • Security personnel on construction and/or building sites
  • Survey, inspection and auditing of construction costs (with supervision of anyone holding a white card QLD)
