Course Details

This unit of competency specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work. The unit requires the person to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others.

It covers identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures, and identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies.

It also covers correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.

It is expected that site-specific induction training will be conducted prior to conducting construction work. This course is also know as white card training, or white card course.

 

Fees:

The standard course cost $120. Once competent participants will need to apply for a NT Construction White Card they can be lodged at the Territory Business Centre. Applications are to include a statement of attainment or written declaration that was issued in the preceding 60 days.

An application fee is payable at time of lodgement. The fee is $25.00 for a new or replacement card.

Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course. For courses that cost over $1,500, All Global Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500, with the balance to be paid upon commencement of the course.

Payment for this course can be made via Cash, Credit Card, Direct Deposit, and Paypal. Please ensure payment is made prior to commencing your course.

 

Course Duration/Delivery Mode

  • This unit of competency is delivered over 6 hours and consists of theory and practical demonstration including practice time. Delivery is at All Global Training’s training facilities or at your workplace by arrangement.
